Description
The northeast of Argentina is one of my main sources of inspiration. It is a region of great natural diversity, where the contrasts between lush vegetation, water, and sky create a vibrant spectacle. In this particular piece, I wanted to capture the essence of Iguazu, the majestic waterfall that symbolizes not only the wild natural beauty of South America but also the raw power of the earth. The deep blue strokes running through the painting evoke that same intensity, while the thick, textured paint invites the viewer to immerse themselves in the relentless flow of cascading water.
While the painting seeks to convey the strength and energy of nature, I enjoy incorporating softer, more detailed elements that offer a balance to the swirling chaos of the brushstrokes. The hummingbird and butterfly are two recurring motifs in my work that symbolize not just the delicacy and fragility of life but also the essential role of every being within the hierarchy of the natural world.
